The Singles Ladder is an opportunity for those players (male or female of all levels) who want a method of arranging their own singles matches around their schedule. The ladder is on-line at TennisEngine.com and lists all the players with their NTRP (ability level rating), their e-mail address and phone number. Players contact other players to arrange a time and place for a match. They play best of three sets (using a 7 point tie-breaker if necessary to decide a set). The winner of the match enters the result of the match on-line at TennisEngine.com and the computer automatically recalculates the ratings and standings of the ladder. Players play as often as they care to play and for the enjoyment of playing singles. In order to register for the Singles Ladder, simply send an e-mail to Bob Foster at rwfoster22@gmail.com with your phone number that you want listed on the ladder. He will register you on-line and you will receive an e-mail from TennisEngine.com that will instruct you how to complete your registration. The next sign up period will commence in May, but players can join up any time in the early summer. You can then start playing singles matches at your leisure and around your schedule.
